SB Mathur to become the new chairman of IL&FS

Former LIC chairman S.B. Mathur will be appointed as the new chairman of Infrastructure Financing and Leasing Services (IL&FS). The decision was made on Saturday at a board meeting.

Mathur will replace LIC’s managing director Hemant Bhargava when he takes the charge. Bhargava was serving as non-executive chairman since July this year.
