September Kansas City Fed Manufacturing Index Indicates Faster Expansion

11:20 AM EDT, 09/25/2025 (MT Newswires) -- The Kansas City Fed monthly manufacturing index rose to a reading of 4 in September from 1 in August, above expectations for a smaller increase to a 2 print in a survey compiled by Bloomberg as of 7:35 am ET, indicating faster expansion in the sector.

Other regional manufacturing data already released have been mixed.

The ISM's national manufacturing reading will be released on Oct. 1.

Within the Kansas City data, there were index gains for production, shipments and employment while the new orders and prices paid readings declined.
