09:55 AM EDT, 09/23/2025 (MT Newswires) -- The September flash reading of manufacturing conditions from S&P Global fell to a two-month low reading of 52.0 from 53.0 in August, compared with an expected reading of 52.2 in a survey compiled by Bloomberg as of 7:40 am ET.
The index indicates expansion in the sector which is in line with the Philadelphia Federal Reserve's reading but in contrast with the New York Fed's reading that suggested contraction.
The index for services conditions fell to a three-month low reading of 53.9 in September from 54.5 in August, compared with expectations for a smaller decrease to 54.0. The services index also indicates expansion in the sector which is in contrast with both the New York Fed and the Philadelphia Fed's readings that signaled contraction.
