Government sources on Wednesday told CNBC-TV18 that “the situation is tight” on the BPCL divestment with no clarity about the financial bids.

The financial bids could come in during the current financial year itself or might spill over to the next financial year.

Now, if that happens, the 1.75 lakh crore divestment aim set out for this financial year will be impossible to achieve.
