Tarun Bajaj, the previous economic affairs secretary, assumed the formal charge as Revenue Secretary under the Ministry of Finance on Wednesday.

The Union Government on Tuesday had approved Bajaj's appointment as the Revenue Secretary.
He was previously the secretary to the Department of Economic Affairs since April 30, 2020. Before that, he was the Additional Secretary in Prime Minister's Office.
Bajaj was preceded by Ajay Bhushan Pandey who retired on February 28.
