Sep 12, 2018 6:30 AM

Passenger and commercial vehicle manufacturer Tata Motors on Wednesday launched its hatched-back Tiago family’s next vehicle-Tiago NRG at a price of Rs 5.5 lakh (Delhi ex-showroom).

The diesel variant of the vehicle is priced at Rs 6.3 lakh (Delhi ex-showroom).

At the launch event, Guenter Butschek, managing director and CEO, Tata Motors said, “new generation vehicles are receiving good traction in the passenger vehicles market. We have successfully become the partner of choice for more consumers by introducing products that are not only cool, but our alignment is the ever changing and disruptive environment. We want to be in the sync with the growing trend to bring more SUV like vehicles to the market which are not only strong on the exterior but are feature loaded and stylish in the interior end and absolute pleasure to drive.”

Butschek referred to Tiago NRG as the ‘newest kid on the block’.

The company wants to expand its Tiago range of products by entering into newer segments and tapping into new sets of consumers.

“At the turnaround 2.0, we are already on our course of growth trajectory. We think the price is good enough to fuel the boost of sale of Tiago range of products,” he added.
