Trade relations between India and Russia can find range of industries, says Russian minister

Amid the fear of trade war, India is hoping to strengthen ties with Russia after Russian President Vladimir Putin came to power for the fourth time on Sunday.

CNBC-TV18's Ronojoy Bannerjee caught up with Russian Economic Development Minister, Maxim Oreshkin and asked him about India-Russia ties, stressing on the Rosneft deal.

Maxim Oreshkin said that trade relations between India and Russia could find wide range of industries. He also said that the ties could find trade solutions in pharma, food processing, agriculture, transport and machinery.

Talking about the Rosneft deal, the minister said, "Interactions between small companies and states facilitates economic relations".
