TRAI order very positive for delivery platforms and viewers, says SITI Networks

The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) order is hugely positive for the delivery platforms and for the end consumer," said Rajesh Sethi, Chief Business Transformation Officer, SITI Networks.

Earlier, TRAI said that tariff order, interconnection regulations and quality of service for the broadcasting and cable sector will come into effect from July 3.

Speaking to CNBC-TV18, SN Sharma, Chief Executive Officer, DEN Networks, said, "This is definitely a very welcome move and it's leading towards 100 percent digitalisation in a transparent manner. The viewer is going to be beneficiary, so will be all the stakeholders with the value chain."

“Multiple System Operators (MSO) is going to play a significant role in terms of delivery of the signal through cable operators," Sharma added.
