Palanivel Thiaga Rajan, the IT Minister of Tamil Nadu, advocates for a well-defined gross gaming revenue model to determine a 28 percent GST rate for online gaming industry. In an interview with CNBC-TV18, Rajan emphasised that this approach strikes a harmonious balance between regulating the industry, generating revenue, and supporting its continued growth to bolster the economy.

Deutsche Bank India economists led by chief economist Kaushik Das, in a report on Monday ahead of the monthly inflation print and the Reserve Bank’s monetary policy review, said that the July consumer price-based inflation index (CPI) is likely to print at 6.7 percent on-year as against 4.8 percent in June.

IRFC reported a net profit of Rs 1,557 crore in the quarter ended June, down 6 percent from 1,660 crore in the corresponding quarter last fiscal, according to PTI.
