Rewind to 2014 May - there was a sense of hope among lakhs of stuck home buyers across the country who were promised a corruption free government. Fast forward to now - there are still 4,20,000 housing units stuck across India. For the first time we saw a regulator for India's housing industry - RERA, we got a much sharper Benami Act, we got equal privileges to bankers for home buyers in the Insolvency Act, yet the homes are nowhere near completion.
