US Treasury's Yellen tells MSNBC housing tax credit could help supply

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - U.S. President Joe Biden's proposed tax credit for certain home buyers could help boost the nation's housing supply and make homes more affordable, Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen said on Friday, a day after the president unveiled the proposal amid his annual State of the Union speech.

Yellen, in an interview on MSNBC, also said that she did not see evidence of inflationary wage pressures building in Friday's jobs data.
