Xiaomi may soon sell air-conditioners, washing machines, refrigerators in India: report

China's Xiaomi is likely to enter the white goods market in India by next year, reported The Economic Times.

The company's officials are currently identifying potential categories through which it can enter the segment, four senior industry executives told the newspaper.

The categories, as per the report, includes air-conditioners, washing machines, refrigerators, laptops, vacuum cleaners and water purifiers.

According to the report, the company executives have stated that all the products will be smart appliances based on Internet of Things (IoT) that can be operated remotely.
