Q: 30-year-old Harshal Patel writes to us. I have the following monthly SIPs. Wanted to check if I need to rebalance any of the funds.

Purpose: Retirement planning (58 years)

Franklin India Ultra-Short Bond Fund - Super Institutional - Growth: Rs 13,000

HDFC Mid Cap Opportunities Fund: Rs 10,000

Parag Parikh Long Term Equity Fund: Growth Rs 10,000

Kotak Standard Multicap Fund - Growth: Rs 10,000

Invesco India Contra Fund - Growth: Rs 10,000

Mirae Asset India Equity Fund - Growth: Rs 10,000

DSP Small Cap Fund – Growth: Rs 3,500

Tata Equity P/EF Direct Plan - Growth: Rs 3,500

A: Franklin India Ultra-Short Bond Fund is not suitable for wealth creation. I recommend you SBI Small Cap over DSP Small Cap Fund. You are missing a large-cap fund in your portfolio. I recommend you to invest in ICICI Prudential Bluechip or Aditya Birla Sun Life Frontline Equity Fund. Continue with all other schemes.
