Q: 21-year-old Rohit Roy has invested Rs 1,000 in Mirae Asset Emerging BlueChip Fund and Rs 500 in ICICI Prudential Value Discovery Fund via SIP. Can you tell me any other mutual funds?

A: Systematic Investment Plan (SIP) as an investment strategy brings in discipline. Construct of a SIP strategy should be on high volatility funds with higher standard deviation. SIP should be for a minimum of 10 years plus. In your portfolio, three additional funds which you consider for SIPs are HDFC Equity Fund, DSP Midcap Fund and Kotak Contra Fund.
