Q: 28-year-old Binaya Sahu writes to us from Hyderabad. I have SIP of Rs 2,000 in AXIS 25 Focused Growth Mutual Fund. I want to keep it for 15 years. Please advise.

A: The AXIS 25 focused fund is managed by Jinesh Gopani with around 20-25 stocks with a high sector orientation and high quality conviction stocks. For example: currently it's overweight financials and auto with stocks like HDFC Bank, Kotak Mahindra Bank, TCS, Bajaj Finance and Maruti. The fund manages risk very well, but due to it’s nature of concentrated bets, it will see cyclical turns in performance. If you are okay with it, you should continue with the fund as the fund manager has an effective risk management framework.
