Research Alert: CFRA Keeps Hold Opinion On Adrs Of Wpp Plc
May 25, 2025 9:36 PM

05:10 AM EDT, 04/28/2025 (MT Newswires) -- CFRA, an independent research provider, has provided MT Newswires with the following research alert. Analysts at CFRA have summarized their opinion as follows:

Our 12-month target price is revised to USD40 (from USD44). This is based on 2025 P/E of 7.1x, which is discounted against its five-year historical average of 9.9x and the industry forward average of 9.2x. We think our relative valuation appropriately reflects WPP's ( WPP ) weaker growth trajectory, both on an absolute basis and relative to peers. We maintain our 2025 EPS estimate at GBP4.20 but revise 2026's to GBP4.35 (from GBP4.60). The technology sector, WPP's ( WPP ) second-largest client sector at 17.7% of revenue, is showing signs of stabilization after two years of slowdown. This trend, combined with GroupM initiatives, should support growth from H2 2025, in our view. Furthermore, we note that uncertainty about tariffs could potentially produce extra work for WPP's ( WPP ) Public Relations segment, though the segment represents less than 10% of net revenue. A sustained increase in net new billings and evidence of constant progress toward the top of the league table could be the catalyst for a re-rating, in our opinion.

Value investing vs. growth investing: Which is better in today's market?
Sep 6, 2024
It's the perennial question among stock investors: which is better - growth investing or value investing? Recently, there's been little contest. Growth stocks, such as Apple and Nvidia ( NVDA ), have handily outperformed value names. But it's not always that way, and many investors think value will once again have its day -- although they've been waiting on that...
