11:20 AM EST, 03/05/2026 (MT Newswires) -- CFRA, an independent research provider, has provided MT Newswires with the following research alert. Analysts at CFRA have summarized their opinion as follows:
We lower our 12-month target price by $10 to $520, valuing Berkshire Hathaway's ( BRK/A ) class B shares at 23.4x our 2026 operating EPS estimate of $22.25 (cut today by $0.85) and at 22x our 2027 EPS estimate of $23.95 (cut by $1.00), vs. the shares' three-year average forward multiple of 23x. We keep our 2026 operative revenue forecast of a 3% to 7% rise, but caution that may prove too optimistic after Berkshire reported essentially flat operating revenues and 25% lower pre-tax profits in 2025. Results included broadly lower insurance underwriting profits and total impairment charges of $9.8B, including the write-downs of Kraft Heinz and Occidental. With year-end 2025 cash levels over $370B, no 2025 buybacks, and very tepid top-line results, we believe the shares lack a near-term catalyst, and are fairly valued vs. historical averages.
