Research Alert: CFRA Keeps Hold Opinion On Shares Of Lincoln National Corporation
Nov 9, 2025 10:05 PM

12:40 AM EST, 11/10/2025 (MT Newswires) -- CFRA, an independent research provider, has provided MT Newswires with the following research alert. Analysts at CFRA have summarized their opinion as follows:

We lift our 12-month target price by $3 to $45, valuing LNC shares at 5.4x our newly initiated 2027 operating EPS estimate of $8.40 and at 5.6x our 2026 EPS estimate of $8.00 (raised today by $0.20), versus the shares' three-year average forward multiple of 4.2x and a peer average of 8.3x. We raise our 2025 EPS estimate by $0.24, to $7.85. LNC posted Q3 operating EPS of $2.04 vs. $2.06, topping our $1.80 EPS estimate and the $1.87 consensus view. Operating revenues rose 10.8% vs. our 3%-6% growth forecast, led by 9% higher investment income, 1.4% premium growth, and 2.4% fee revenue increases. We acknowledge LNC's operational turnaround progress, including strong annuity sales growth of 32% and life insurance sales surging 144% on risk-sharing product expansion, though annuity margins faced compression. These improvements will help support the shares' premium valuation versus historical averages, but LNC shares' volatility tempers our enthusiasm.
