11:50 AM EDT, 05/04/2025 (MT Newswires) -- CFRA, an independent research provider, has provided MT Newswires with the following research alert. Analysts at CFRA have summarized their opinion as follows:
We lower our 12-month target by $2 to $53, calculated using a 7.0x EV/EBITDA multiple (unchanged) against our 2025 adj-EBITDA estimate of $2,124M (-7% Y/Y; raised from $2,061M). We lower our 2025 EPS to $5.04 (from $5.07) and our 2026 EPS to $4.56 (from $4.63). In our view, Q1 results were solid, although they failed to meet relatively high consensus expectations. Given macro pressures on the consumer, PPC is seeing a channel shift from food-away-from-home eating to food-at-home eating, which has supported pricing for chicken cuts like boneless breast meat. However, chicken cuts like wings have faced pressure as it is mainly a foodservice item. Still, quick-service restaurants are promoting more chicken offerings given its relative affordability, which is benefiting PPC. Nonetheless, we see EBITDA growth moderating as this year progresses. We continue to believe 2024 marked the peak of this chicken processing cycle.
