Research Alert: CFRA Keeps Strong Buy Opinion On Shares Of Cheniere Energy
Nov 3, 2025 8:48 AM

11:25 AM EST, 11/03/2025 (MT Newswires) -- CFRA, an independent research provider, has provided MT Newswires with the following research alert. Analysts at CFRA have summarized their opinion as follows:

Our 12-month target price of $290, cut $4, reflects a combination of our EV/EBITDA model and DCF model. On a relative basis, we apply an 11.5x multiple of enterprise value to projected 2026 EBITDA, modestly above Cheniere's historical forward average on improving growth expectations. That multiple yields a value of $265 per share. Our DCF model takes a longer-term view of intrinsic value and assumes medium-term free cash flow growth of 3.5% per year, terminal value of 2.5%, and a WACC of 6.1%, yielding a value of $315 per share. We cut our '25 EPS estimate by $0.33 to $11.98, but lift '26's by $0.43 to $14.28. Cheniere is in the midst of an expansionary phase, and has plans in place to nearly double existing capacity (although a lot of that incremental capacity is not yet under construction). We think the value proposition of U.S.-sourced LNG sent overseas remains intact and think Cheniere is a partner of choice given its long track record.
