01:45 PM EDT, 08/27/2025 (MT Newswires) -- CFRA, an independent research provider, has provided MT Newswires with the following research alert. Analysts at CFRA have summarized their opinion as follows:
We lift our 12-month target price to $123 from $109, based on 12x our FY 27 (Apr.) EPS estimate of $10.24 (down from $10.39; FY 26's down to $8.95 from $9.10). Our revised view reflects the potential FY 27 to be an above-algorithm year, which we do not believe is reflected in consensus estimates. FQ1 2026 results were mixed, with strength in coffee, cat food, and handheld sandwiches, offset by continued weakness in a few other categories, most notably Hostess, which did not perform as expected. We expect momentum to build by the end of FY 26, supported by stronger coffee margins (elasticities have been favorable), stabilization in Hostess (SJM is planning a SKU rationalization and plant closure), and the return to growth in Pet Foods (from favorable comps and strength in Meow Mix). Also, we could see tariff exemptions at some point, given that coffee cannot be grown at scale in the U.S. Risks include adverse changes in green coffee commodity prices and trade policy.
