Research Alert: CFRA Lowers Opinion On Shares Of Genuine Parts Company To Hold From Buy
Oct 21, 2025 12:11 PM

02:55 PM EDT, 10/21/2025 (MT Newswires) -- CFRA, an independent research provider, has provided MT Newswires with the following research alert. Analysts at CFRA have summarized their opinion as follows:

We maintain a 12-month target of $145, based on a 2026 P/E of 17.2x, a justified discount to GPC's 10-year mean forward P/E of 18.2x. We lower our adjusted EPS estimates to $7.65 from $7.70 for 2025, to $8.45 from $8.60 for 2026, and introduce 2027 at $9.10. Following GPC's Q3 miss and reduced 2025 EPS guidance, we are lowering our opinion to Hold from Buy. In our view, the stock lacks a catalyst, and we see better growth opportunities across the space. While GPC's net sales and margins were solid, higher SG&A (+5% Y/Y in Q3), D&A (+20%), and interest expense (+45%) should continue to act as a drag on the bottom line and were the primary reasons behind GPC's full-year EPS guidance cut to $7.50-$7.75 from $7.50-$8.00 previously. With a valuation that appears fair and a lack of catalysts, we lower our opinion on the stock to Hold.

Best bond funds for retirement investors

When it comes to saving for retirement, investors generally use a combination of equity and fixed income investments. If you're young and retirement is still far off, your portfolio is more likely to hold mostly equity (stock-based) investments because you have a long time to make up for any short-term fluctuations in the markets. And then as you approach retirement,...
