Research Alert: CFRA Lowers Opinion On Shares Of Snowflake Inc. To Buy From Strong Buy
May 26, 2025 12:53 PM

03:45 PM EDT, 05/22/2025 (MT Newswires) -- CFRA, an independent research provider, has provided MT Newswires with the following research alert. Analysts at CFRA have summarized their opinion as follows:

We lower our price target by $3 to $228, utilizing an EV/sales ratio of 16.5x applied to our FY 2026 (Jan.) revenue estimate, with our multiple falling below SNOW's 5-year average of ~36x on declining growth metrics and elevated interest rates / economic uncertainty, but just above its 3-year average of ~16x given our positive view on the useability of its new AI-related products and continued secular growth in demand for AI applications and data quality improvement. We lower our FY 2026 sales view by $13M to $4.597B (adjusted EPS up $0.02 to $1.19) and lower our FY 2027 sales view by $55M to $5.655B (adjusted EPS up $0.03 to $1.69). Our downgrade primarily reflects shares' recent price gains (up ~30% year-to-date) and elevated economic risks from tariffs, though we expect customer consumption of SNOW's platform to continue rising solidly and we retain a positive view of its improving profitability and revenue growth path, where we think SNOW is well positioned to benefit from widening interest in agentic AI.
