Research Alert: CFRA Maintains Buy Opinion On Shares Of Apple Inc., Iphone 17 Expectations
Sep 8, 2025 3:36 AM

06:00 AM EDT, 09/08/2025 (MT Newswires) -- CFRA, an independent research provider, has provided MT Newswires with the following research alert. Analysts at CFRA have summarized their opinion as follows:

Ahead of AAPL's hardware event on 9/9 (1 p.m. ET), we expect AAPL to unveil four iPhone models, with a new iPhone 17 Air (ultra-thin design, replacing the Plus model) taking center stage. Potential device enhancements include: camera upgrades (24MP front-facing camera from 12MP, 48MP telephoto lens/8x optical zoom on Pro models, camera redesign), ProMotion and smaller bezels extending from Pros to standard versions, new processors (A19), longer battery life, aluminum chassis for Pro models (switching from titanium), and new colors (e.g., Orange, Dark Blue). Pricing will be key as we currently assume no increases post our tariff relief expectation (Trump alludes AAPL is safe) but do see potential upside across the board anywhere from $50 to $100 while the Air is expected to be priced above the former Plus. This would boost our low-single digit iPhone revenue growth forecast in FY 27 (Sep.). We also expect updates to the Apple Watch Series/new AirPods Pro 3 and pre-orders to start 9/12 with launch date on 9/19.
