Research Alert: CFRA Maintains Hold Opinion On Shares Of Adient Plc
Jul 2, 2025 8:09 AM

10:40 AM EDT, 07/02/2025 (MT Newswires) -- CFRA, an independent research provider, has provided MT Newswires with the following research alert. Analysts at CFRA have summarized their opinion as follows:

We raise our 12-month target to $20 from $15, based on a FY 26 (Sep.) P/E of 10.0x, a justified discount to peers and historical averages. Our adjusted EPS estimates remain at $1.85 for FY 25 and $2.00 for FY 26. ADNT shares have rallied sharply since the company's better-than-expected earnings release on May 7. As a reminder, ADNT posted much better-than-expected EPS led by a stronger top line, and the company's successful refinancing of $795M of unsecured senior notes due 2026 helped alleviate a major concern that was weighing on the shares. In the process, ADNT extended its average maturity profile to 6.1 from 4.0 years, leaving it with no near-term debt maturities. Additionally, we see shares benefiting from easing recessionary risk and improving fundamentals for auto suppliers. We raise our target but remain at Hold. Importantly, our DCF valuation ascribes little equity value, but we have a more optimistic outlook looking ahead due to the company's recent debt and interest expense reduction efforts.
