Research Alert: CFRA Maintains Hold Opinion On Shares Of Toromont Industries Ltd.
May 26, 2025 12:42 PM

11:55 AM EDT, 05/22/2025 (MT Newswires) -- CFRA, an independent research provider, has provided MT Newswires with the following research alert. Analysts at CFRA have summarized their opinion as follows:

We maintain our Hold rating and 12-month target price of CAD118, as mixed earnings reflected the tariff impacted markets environment. Our target price is based on an average of our EV/EBITDA multiple of 10.0x our 2026 EBITDA figure and a P/E multiple of 18.0x our 2026 EPS. Higher revenues in both business segments were curtailed poorer margins due to sales mix, tough comps, and inflationary expense pressures. We view the poor margin performance and weaker bookings as being solely reflective of the tariff situation and not novel issues to the core Toromont business. We lower our 2025 EPS forecast to CAD6.02 from CAD6.43 due to weaker margins that we now expect to play out through 2025. We expect the market environment to stabilize throughout 2026 and therefore raise our 2026 EPS estimate to CAD6.68 (from CAD6.55) as we anticipate a slightly higher top-line and recovering margins.
