Research Alert: CFRA Raises Opinion On Shares Of Caesars Entertainment, Inc. To Buy From Hold
Mar 25, 2025 9:55 AM

12:35 PM EDT, 03/25/2025 (MT Newswires) -- CFRA, an independent research provider, has provided MT Newswires with the following research alert. Analysts at CFRA have summarized their opinion as follows:

Our 12-month target of $39 is on 8.5x our 2025 EBITDA estimate and below CZR's three-year average forward EV/EBITDA multiple of 9.2x, reflecting our view of a weaker U.S. consumer and an extended balance sheet. We maintain our 2025 and 2026 EPS estimates of $0.75 and $1.00, respectively. After a 40% drop over the past six months, we raise our opinion on valuation. Shares trade at the bottom of their five-year range and we believe investors are pricing in a recession. However, we are not enthused with the company's balance sheet as it could sell underperforming assets to raise cash and pay down debt, which would lead to much higher earnings as interest payments come down. We also believe Las Vegas will remain stable over the next 12 months. We continue to believe that shares are being held back by the balance sheet and would like to see CZR sell assets to raise net income and give investors confidence as the U.S. consumer shows some signs of weakness. That said, we can no longer ignore the value emerging.
