Research Alert: CFRA Reiterates Buy Opinion On Shares Of Pepsico Inc.
Jul 17, 2025 7:00 AM

09:40 AM EDT, 07/17/2025 (MT Newswires) -- CFRA, an independent research provider, has provided MT Newswires with the following research alert. Analysts at CFRA have summarized their opinion as follows:

We raise our 12-month target by $5 to $170, based on a 2026 P/E of 20.2x, a justified discount to PEP's five-year mean forward P/E of 23.4x. We lower our 2025 adjusted EPS estimate by $0.15 to $8.05 and 2026's by $0.50 to $8.40. Following PEP's much stronger-than-expected Q2 earnings and reiteration of full-year EPS guidance, we are reiterating our Buy opinion and raising our price target. We view the challenges facing PEP as fully discounted at the current levels given the stock's underperformance so far in 2025. With estimates having come down materially, we view the forecasts as achievable and note the dividend yield recently hitting a record high. Additionally, we view easing currency headwinds as an underappreciated factor, and Y/Y EPS comps should be easier going forward. We remain confident in management's ability to execute, noting its stellar earnings track record (only two quarterly EPS misses since 2008). PEP is an S&P Dividend Aristocrat and its 4.2% dividend yield augments total return potential.
