Research Alert: CFRA Reiterates Buy Opinion On Shares Of Pepsico, Inc.
Oct 9, 2025 11:25 AM

01:45 PM EDT, 10/09/2025 (MT Newswires) -- CFRA, an independent research provider, has provided MT Newswires with the following research alert. Analysts at CFRA have summarized their opinion as follows:

We maintain our 12-month target of $170, based on a 2026 P/E of 20.2x, a justified discount to PEP's five-year mean forward P/E of 23.0x. We maintain our adjusted EPS estimates of $8.05 for 2025 and $8.40 for 2026. Following PEP's stronger-than-expected Q3 earnings and reiteration of full-year EPS guidance, we are reiterating our Buy opinion. We view the challenges facing PEP as fully discounted at current levels given the stock's underperformance so far in 2025. In our view, PEP is a beaten-down blue chip name in an out-of-favor sector, offering significant value at current levels. Additionally, we view the potential divestiture of non-core or underperforming assets as a source of possible upside following the suggestions made by activist shareholder Elliott Management last month. With estimates having come down materially, we view forecasts as achievable, noting the stock's dividend yield of 4% and stellar earnings track record (only two quarterly EPS misses since 2008).
