Research Alert: CFRA Reiterates Buy Opinion On Shares Of The Carlyle Group Inc.
Jun 11, 2025 8:09 AM

10:50 AM EDT, 06/11/2025 (MT Newswires) -- CFRA, an independent research provider, has provided MT Newswires with the following research alert. Analysts at CFRA have summarized their opinion as follows:

We are raising our target by $5 to $54 using an 11.3x forward P/E on 2026 earnings estimate, versus the five-year average of 12.2x. Another valuation metric for financial companies is price to net tangible book value. Here, the stock is trading at 3.4x, which is at the low end of the range of previous quarters, and our target would reflect the 3.9x that was posted in the December quarter. Despite global uncertainties from trade tensions and challenging exit markets, we believe CG's improved operating performance under new leadership supports our target. The firm's diversified platform and strong Global Credit position provide resilience. We still view a stock buyback as an attractive form of returning capital to our shareholders that we assume will be active in 2025. Looking ahead to 2026, we anticipate the Fed moving to a rate cut regime with a slower U.S. economy and inflation better under control. We believe this will benefit fundamentals and valuation for CG and its peers in alternative asset management.
