Research Alert: CFRA Reiterates Hold Opinion On Shares Of News Corp.
Aug 6, 2025 8:30 AM

11:10 AM EDT, 08/06/2025 (MT Newswires) -- CFRA, an independent research provider, has provided MT Newswires with the following research alert. Analysts at CFRA have summarized their opinion as follows:

We raise our 12-month target price by $1 to $31, 31x our FY 26 (Jun.) EPS estimate (from 30x our FY 26 EPS view), in line with its three-year average forward multiple. We keep our FY 26 EPS estimate at $1.01 and lower FY 27's to $1.12 (from $1.13). Our higher revised multiple reflects a more streamlined business following the sale of Foxtel, which is contributing to improved EBITDA margins (+60 bps Y/Y). Our estimates reflect steady revenue growth from the Dow Jones and Digital Real Estate Services segments, slightly offset by sluggish performance at Book Publishing and News Media. The $1B stock repurchase authorization represents meaningful capital return capacity, and we expect the accelerated pace of repurchases to provide modest EPS accretion over the execution period. Still, at 30x consensus FY 26 estimates, we view shares as fairly valued considering the risks the company faces with AI and intellectual property. Thus, we reiterate our Hold opinion.
