Research Alert: CFRA Reiterates Hold Opinion On Shares Of Pool Corp
Jul 25, 2025 10:46 PM

11:45 AM EDT, 07/25/2025 (MT Newswires) -- CFRA, an independent research provider, has provided MT Newswires with the following research alert. Analysts at CFRA have summarized their opinion as follows:

We raise our 12-month price target by $37 to $348, 29x our 2026 EPS view (from 28x our 2025 EPS estimate), in line with POOL's five-year historical mean. We lower our 2025 EPS estimate to $10.88 from $11.10 and our 2026's to $12.01 from $12.42, reflecting lower-than-expected revenue from cyclical revenue streams due to pressure on consumer spending. Our higher multiple reflects sequential improvements in new pool construction, with management noting stabilization in Q2. Beyond this cyclical improvement, POOL is benefiting from tariff-driven pricing, supply chain optimization, private label expansion, and cost discipline, efforts that drove the first quarter of EPS growth in 10 quarters. Although progress is being made, new pool construction activity remains stagnant in absolute terms, and we would like to see a few quarters of improvement to raise our estimates. We reiterate Hold, noting shares are at the top end of their 20x-30x range, suggesting the market may already expect accelerated growth.

A covered call is an options trading strategy that offers limited return for limited risk. A covered call involves selling a call option on a stock that you already own. By owning the stock, you're covered (that is, protected) if the stock rises and the call option expires in the money. A covered call is one of the lower-risk option...
