Alex Liu of AT Kearney expects deceleration of growth rate globally over the next few years
Feb 11, 2019 9:11 AM

CNBC-TV18's Parikshit Luthra caught up with Alex Liu, chairman and managing partner, Alex Liu, to discuss the company's outlook for 2019.

Liu said, "In the near term, the outlook is partly cloudy, there a lot of uncertainties and a lot of tensions. Clearly, the sentiment is more cautious than it was last year where people were worried about creeping inflation and fear of recession. We see in our own view a deceleration of growth rates around the world which is slightly less than 3 percent over the next few years, that is related a bit to the trade protectionism issues that we read about."

On new ecommerce FDI guidelines, he said, "Those are big rules, and it would be a deterrent to probably any long term multi-year commitment."
