Indian shares are set for a positive start on Monday, tracking gains in global markets. Asian shares rose, buoyed on speculation the US Federal Reserve will sound decidedly dovish at its policy meeting this week.

Investors will remain upbeat after the broader NSE Nifty50 traded above 11,400 level for the first time since September 18, 2018, on Friday.

At 07:17 AM, the SGX Nifty, an early indicator of the Nifty 50's trend in India, was up 0.19 percent at 11,496, indicating a positive start for the Sensex and the Nifty.
