Aurionpro Solutions Ltd shares gained more than three percent in trade on Thursday after the company announced bagging a major order in the Transit space in Mexico.

Aurionpro Solutions said that its subsidiary company Aurionpro Transit Pte Ltd has won a major order in the City of Merida, Mexico, for supplying validators and hardware for the city’s rapid transit bus project.
The project was awarded to Aurionpro Solutions’ subsidiary by the Government of the State of Yucatán, Mexico. The order will be delivered by the company’s partner in the region, MRP Technology Solutions.

In order to aid quicker and more efficient transfers, while saving time as well as money, the Government of the State of Yucatán is looking forward to developing a sustainable mobility and metropolitan-friendly system, called ‘VayVen’ locally.
The said system will also offer the population with smart transportation solutions in addition to simply saving time.
This shall include modernisation of the fare collection system towards an interoperable and open system, such as acceptance of contactless cards, bank cards, and QR codes, among others, along with modernization needed at the equipment level too, at the existing validator equipment in buses.

The first phase of the partnership in the said initiative with Aurionpro Transit is valued at $1.2 million. This phase is expected to be delivered over the upcoming six months, the company informed bourses.
“Merida is the largest city in south-eastern Mexico and this win will give us a strong foothold and will open up a large rapidly growing market for us. As the project progresses, we anticipate receiving further orders,” said the CEO of Aurionpro Transit, Sanjay Bali.
Shares of Aurionpro Solutions were trading 1.37 percent higher at Rs 1,209 apiece on BSE at 1:10 PM.
