Auto Stocks Slide Premarket After Trump's Tariff Announcement

06:48 AM EDT, 04/03/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Shares of major automakers were down in recent premarket activity on Thursday, a day after US President Donald Trump announced new tariffs of at least 10% on most foreign imports.

Tesla (TSLA) dropped nearly 5%, Toyota Motors (TM) fell 5%, General Motors ( GM ) slipped 1.5%, Ford (F) slid nearly 1.6%, and Stellantis ( STLA ) was down less than 1%.
