Bharti Airtel stock will be a part of Feb quarterly index review: MSCI
Jan 15, 2021 7:11 AM

Bharti Airtel rallies after global index provider MSCI said they will raise their weightage on the stock in their February quarterly review.

After multiple flip-flops, MSCI said Bharti Airtel will be a part of its February 2021 quarterly Index review.

This is after National Securities Depository Ltd (NSDL) updated the foreign investment (FII) ownership limit in Bharti Airtel to 100 percent versus 49 percent, which was a pre-condition for MSCI to go ahead and increase the weightage of Bharti Airtel.

The quarterly review will be announced on February 9 and will be effective on March 1.
