While we are dealing with trying times where the economy is faced with several headwinds, could keeping high corporate governance standards become a luxury for corporate India? Could gender diversity be one of those tools which can help keep the sanctity of the boards of listed companies?

SBI Mutual Fund in partnership with the proxy advisory firm IIAS, has authored a study on the state of women directors in the country, and it is a dismal 17 percent in the top 500 companies in the country. However from 2017 till now, it is a definite improvement.
