Bitfarms up 6% in U.S. Pre-Market Trading, Provides December Production Update

08:05 AM EST, 01/02/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Bitfarms ( BITF ) up 6% in U.S. pre-market trading, on Thursday said December mining operations generated 211 BTC compared with 207 BTC the month before.

December production came in nearly 53% lower than the 446 generated in the same month of 2023.

The company sold 147 of the 211 BTC earned as part of its regular treasury management practice for total proceeds of $14.3 million.

Bitfarms ( BITF ) produced 2914 BTC in 2024, compared with 4,923 in 2023.

The company, which is shifting its portfolio towards the U.S., said its proposed acquisition of Stronghold Digital Mining is on track to close in the first quarter.

Bitfarms ( BITF ) was last seen up US$0.09 to US$1.58 in New York trading.
