Block deal likely in Swan Energy, HNIs buy NMDC: Dealing Room Check

The shares of Macrotech Developers ended 0.37% higher, near day's high on Tuesday, October 17. The stock ended in the green for third day in a row. The stock has been buzzing off late. Domestic fund were active buyers.

Nifty 50, Sensex End Off Day's High, PSU Stocks Outperformance Continues

The Indian equity benchmarks Nifty 50 and Sensex ended off day’s high on Tuesday. The Nifty resistance is at 19,830 on the upside. Sources in the dealing room suggest that the flows were mixed at the FII desk, and housing Finance companies are well bid.

PSU stocks continued to outperform. OMCs HPCL and BPCL were also buzzing in trade on Tuesday. Dealer's suggest earnings will dominate the market trends in the near term.

Besides Macrotech Developers, these stocks made it to the dealing room chatter:

NMDC – The shares of NMDC ended in the red on Tuesday, after hitting a 52-week high of Rs 167 per share earlier in the session. The stock snapped a five-day gaining streak. Dealers tell CNBC-TV18 that the stock is buzzing off late on strong buy flows at the HNI desk. A few influential investors are said to be active buyers.

Swan Energy – The shares of Swan Energy ended half a percent in the green on Tuesday, up for fourth day in a row. The stock has been buzzing off late. According to sources in the dealing room, a large block deal is expected soon.

IRFC – The shares the railway finance company gained 3.74% on Tuesday. Shares have gained in four out of the last 10 trading session. The stock has been buzzing post multiple block deals. Sources in the dealing room suggest that a domestic mutual fund is the likely buyer.
