Indian shares ended lower on Thursday, dragged by financial and auto stocks as investors were jittery ahead of the expiry of derivatives contracts at the end of the session.

The benchmark BSE Nifty closed down 0.60 percent at 36,324.17, while the broader NSE Nifty ended 0.69 percent lower at 10,977.55. Both indexes fell for a second straight session, with the Nifty closing below 11,000 levels for the second time in over two months.

PNB: Shares of Punjab National Bank hit a 52-week low of Rs 61.50 intraday. It quoted at Rs 61.85, slumping by 7.76 percent at close.
Yes Bank: Shares plunged 9.01 percent to end at Rs 203.60. It opened at Rs 226 and hit the day's low at Rs 202.05, being the top loser on the NSE index.
Indiabulls Housing Finance: Shares of the housing finance firm were again under pressure, trading at Rs 941.50 at close, dipping by nearly six percent.
Bajaj Finance: The consumer finance giant's shares ended lower by nearly five percent at Rs 2,209.35.
TCS: Shares of Tata Consultancy Services surged 2.49 percent to end at Rs 2,185. The stock opened at Rs 2,141.90 and hit the day's high of Rs 2,209.70.
Srei Infrastructure Finance: Shares closed at Rs 33.60, nosediving 16.10 percent. Intraday, it fell to a 52-week low of Rs 31, after opening at Rs 40.20.
Piramal Enterprises: Shares ended lower by 5.91 percent to Rs 2,385, shedding nearly Rs 150 in value. The stock opened at Rs 2,532 and ranged between Rs 2,552.55 and Rs 2,350.30.
Vodafone Idea: Shares of Vodafone Idea fell to Rs 38.35 in intraday trade today. It quoted at Rs 38.65, down by 6.76 percent at close.
Adlabs Entertainment: Shares tanked 20 percent to close at Rs 19, its 52-week low in intraday trade today.
