Indian shares staged a smart recovery after a volatile session on Wednesday. The Nifty ended at 10,238, rising by 91 points or 0.90 percent, while the Sensex jumped 187 points or 0.55 percent, to close at 34,034. Broader markets outperformed with the Nifty MidCap rising 1.31 percent.

Here's a list of stocks that trended among the most in stock market today:

Bajaj Auto: Shares hit a 52-week low of Rs 2,456 after the company's Q2 results missed estimates on Wednesday. The two-and-three wheeler company reported Q2 earnings with net profit at Rs 1,152.5 crore against CNBC-TV18 poll of Rs 1,156.5 crore. Shares ended at Rs 2,469, down 4.54 percent.

Ashok Leyland: Shares of the automobile major surged over 5 percent to end at Rs 116.95. The stock was the top gainer among automobile shares amid multiple large deals between Rs 112.70 and Rs 116.00.

Bharti Airtel: Telco’s shares surged more than 10 percent to over Rs 315 apiece in intraday trade. Shares settled at Rs 316.75, surging 10.79 percent.

Sterlite Technologies: Shares gained 3 percent as its consolidated net profit for July-September was up 8.8 percent on quarter in line with analysts' estimates. It quoted at Rs 324.85, up by 1.90 percent at end.

Radico Khaitan: Shares surged 5 percent to end Rs 356.65 on the NSE at close. The stock opened at Rs 346 and touched a high of Rs 356.65.

Zydus Wellness: Shares ended lower by 4.85 percent at Rs 1,195. The stock edged up after the company announced that it will acquire 100 percent equity share of Heinz India, including business of Glucon-D, Complan, Nycil and Sampriti.

Yes Bank: Shares declined by nearly 5.5 percent at Rs 202 in intraday trade, moving lower than 5 day, 20 day, 50 day, 100 day and 200 day moving averages. So far in 2018, shares of Yes Bank have fallen over 34 percent. It ended at Rs 204.35.

TTK Prestige: Shares ended at Rs 6,249, rising 5 percent at close. The stock advanced to the day's high of Rs 6,324.45 after opening at Rs 5,956.10. The company's Q2 net profit rose 28.4 percent at Rs 53.8 crore against Rs 41.9 crore. Revenue was up 7.3 percent at Rs 552.3 crore against Rs 514.6 crore.

Asian Paints: Shares ended at Rs 1189.95, rising 4.49 percent on the BSE at close.

PSU oil shares: Shares of HPCL ended at Rs 231.15, jumping 6.08 percent as crude oil prices eased. IOC ended at Rs 137.50, rising 5.77 percent, while BPCL shares gained 4 percent to close at Rs 280.15.
