The Nifty50 traded 32 points up at 11,876 at 3.11 pm, while the Sensex surged 123 points to trade at 39,653. The MidCaps continue to trade under pressure, while as many as 16 sectors advanced led by BSE Telecom, Nifty Finance and Nifty IT. BSE Utilities, Nifty Pharma, Nifty Realty, Nifty Energy were leading among 27 declining sectors. Bharti Infratel, IndusInd Bank, Tech Mahindra, M&M, Bajaj Finance, ICICI Bank and SBI surged between 1 and 2.5 percent. Dr Reddy's Labs, Yes Bank, Power Grid Corp, Cipla, JSW Steel, Coal India, ONGC and Sun Pharma, dipped by up to 3 percent.

So far today, over 3.6 million shares of the company were traded on the NSE, higher than the six-month average daily volume of 1.4 million shares. At 2.30 pm, shares of the company were up 4.16 percent higher at Rs 613.

-Indices have turned range bound in flat trade. The Sensex has ranged between a high of 39666 and a low of 39279, after opening at 39581. The Nifty has ranged between a high of 282.90 and a low of 271.80, after opening at 274.50.
-The Nifty Pharma index was the worst performing sector during the afternoon session dragged by Biocon, Dr Reddy’s Laboratories, Glenmark and others.
