The Indian market is likely to open on a cautious note on Tuesday amid weakness in global markets as investors remained on sidelines after the crude oil prices plummeted to historic lows. At 7:35 am, the SGX Nifty was trading 105 points lower at 9,155, indicating a weak start for the Sensex and Nifty50.
Oil Marketing Companies: Indian Oil Ltd, Bharat Petroleum Corporation, Hindustan Petroleum Corporation, among other OMCs will be in focus after the May US WTI contract fell $55.9, or 306 percent, to settle at a discount of $37.63 a barrel after touching an all-time low of -$40.32 a barrel. Brent was down $2.51, or 9 percent, to settle at $25.57 a barrel on Monday.
Infosys: The IT major reported a 3.1 percent QoQ fall in Q4FY20 profit to Rs 4,321 crore, revenue rose 0.8 percent to Rs 23,267 crore. Dollar revenue declined 1.4 percent on a sequential basis to $3,197 million. The company said it is unable to provide a revenue outlook for FY21 due to business uncertainty amid COVID-19 outbreak. It announced the final dividend of Rs 9.50 per share.
Tata Consultancy Services (TCS): Amway has partnered with TCS for strategic IT operations transformation.
Larsen & Toubro: The company has issued NCDs aggregating to Rs 1,250 crore maturing on April 20, 2023.
Morepen Laboratories: The company has received license to manufacture Hydroxychloroquine from State Drug Controller last week for its Baddi plant in Himachal Pradesh and is working to commercialise the production of HCQ in both API as well as tablets form.
