HDFC Ltd: Q3FY20 net profit surged to Rs 8,372.5 crore versus Rs 2,113.8 crore, net interest income (NII) grew 9.8 percent to Rs 3,296.7 crore YoY. The company reported a Rs 9,020 crore one-time fair value exchange gain due to gains from share swap after Gruh's merger with Bandhan bank. The assets under management (AUM) growth is the best in three quarters at 14.6 percent compared annually and 3.1 percent compared quarterly.
Maruti Suzuki: The largest passenger vehicle maker increased prices for select models up to 4.7 percent with effect from January 27, owing to an increase in input costs. The company will also announce Q3FY20 earnings on Tuesday.
InterGlobe Aviation: The company reported net profit of Rs 496 crore in Q3FY20 as against Rs 185.2 crore on year, helped by increased efficiencies and a boost from lower fuel costs. Revenue grew 25.5 percent to Rs 9,932 crore YoY. EBITDAR rose 17.2 percent to Rs 1,960.7 crore for the quarter.
Dewan Housing Finance Corporation Ltd: The company said that the draft resolution plan old management is no longer valid. Additionally, the Enforcement Directorate arrested the chairman and managing director of the mortgage lender, Kapil Wadhawan, in connection with its money laundering probe against dead gangster Iqbal Mirchi and others. Wadhawan has been arrested under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) as he was allegedly not cooperating in the probe.
Adani Gas: The company clarified that it has not been charged with Rs 400 crore penalty from Petroleum and Natural Gas Regulatory Board. It duly responded to PNGRB with all required information to conclude the matter, it added.
NTPC: The board of the company gave an in-principle approval for the acquisition of entire stake of government of India in NEEPCO and THDC.
Adani Green Energy: Company’s subsidiary Rosepetal Solar Energy Pvt Ltd received Maharashtra Electricity Regulatory Commission for award of 700 megawatt solar-wind hybrid capacity power project. The fixed PPA tariff is set at Rs 3.24 per unit for a period of 25 years and the hybrid power project is expected to be commissioned by Q2FY2022.
Torrent Pharmaceuticals: Q3FY20 profit rose 2 percent to Rs 251 crore while revenue fell 4.1 percent to Rs 1,966 crore YoY.
Prakash Industries: The company decided to participate in forthcoming auctions of coal blocks available under commercial mining policy and not to proceed further in case of Bhaskarpara coal block as the same is available under captive mining policy. Further, company’s Q3 steel sales volume rose 6.4 percent QoQ to 2.53 Lakh tonnes.
United Spirits: Net profit in Q3FY20 jumped 15.2 percent to Rs 232 crore, revenue increased 2.9 percent to Rs 2,587.6 crore YoY.
JK Paper: The company reported 18.3 percent rise in December quarter net profit to Rs 131.8 crore while revenue dipped 5.6 percent to Rs 820.6 crore, YoY.
