Current ACC price extremely attractive; investor should definitely dip into it, says Edelweiss
Oct 20, 2020 4:46 AM

ACC sets the entire cement space buzzing after a strong second quarter. There was a sharp improvement in the company’s profitability, it reported net profit of about Rs 363 crore and revenue at around Rs 3,537 crore. The stock is up close to about 1 percent odd. Rajesh Kumar Ravi of HDFC Securities and Navin Sahadeo of Edelweiss discuss the results and outlook for the sector.

According to Edelweiss, “I don’t think there is anything amiss from the result perspective or what the company brings to the table. The current stock price of ACC should be viewed as extremely attractive opportunity. 8-8.50 times one year forward EV to EBITDA for a stock like ACC, I think it is an extremely lucrative kind of valuation. Definitely investor should dip into it.”

Meanwhile HDFC Securities is expecting a marginal growth for the overall industry. “Profitability will be strong even for most of the other players in this quarter because demand has been quite resilient, retail demand has been on a positive trajectory. We have seen in ACC flattish volume growth, overall for the industry we are expecting there could be a marginal growth year-on-year (YoY).”
