Oct 9, 2025 6:04 AM

08:32 AM EDT, 10/09/2025 (MT Newswires) -- US equity futures were little changed pre-bell Thursday as traders digested earnings from PepsiCo ( PEP ) and Delta Air Lines ( DAL ) , and looked ahead to a speech from Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell.

Dow Jones Industrial Average futures were down 0.01%, S&P 500 futures were flat, and Nasdaq futures were 0.06% lower.

PepsiCo ( PEP ) reported lower fiscal Q3 core earnings amid higher revenue. Meanwhile, Delta Air Lines ( DAL ) posted higher Q3 adjusted earnings and revenue.

Powell is scheduled to speak at a community bank conference in Washington at 8:30 am ET.

Oil prices were lower, with front-month global benchmark North Sea Brent crude down 0.2% at $66.13 per barrel and US West Texas Intermediate crude 0.2% lower at $62.44 per barrel.

The federal agency bulletin on jobless claims, originally scheduled for 8:30 am ET, is not expected to be released as the US government shutdown stretched into its ninth day.
