Jul 5, 2019 1:04 AM

Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will present her maiden Union Budget today at 11 AM even as economic growth remains the top concern. Rising fiscal deficit and slowdown in consumer demand are two other key issues that make her task tougher.

CNBC-TV18’s Sonia Shenoy tells you which are the stocks you need to watch out for during the FM's speech:

Any announcement on the farm sector — be it through sops, doubling of direct cash transfer, easier finance, increasing allocation for PM Kisan Yojana: M&M, Escorts, HUL Dabur, Colgate

Tax benefit for middle-class: Voltas, Bajaj Auto, Hero MotoCorp.

An announcement with regards to housing finance companies. Any liquidity support for companies that follow good governance, good compliance, and performance linked credit scheme: DLF, Godrej Properties, Sobha, Prestige.

Announcement on infrastructure space: L&T.

Announcement on railways and power: Texmaco, Titagarh Wagons.

Announcement on water: VA Tech Wabag, etc.

The metal industry is expecting a 25 percent duty on all steel imports: Tata Steel, JSW Steel.
