07:17 AM EDT, 06/03/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Energy Fuels ( UUUU ) , a U.S. producer of uranium, rare earth elements (REE), and other critical minerals, on Tuesday rose near 8% in U.S. pre-market trading after the company reported another record month of production from its Pinyon Plain mine in Arizona, with nearly 260,000 pounds of uranium mined during May.
"Energy Fuels ( UUUU ) is pursuing an aggressive plan to quickly increase short-term U.S. uranium supply in support of near-term profitability and advancing key components of President Trump's Nuclear Energy, Energy Dominance, and Critical Mineral agendas," said Energy Fuels ( UUUU ) Chief Executive Mark Chalmers. "We believe Pinyon Plain stands alone as the most important domestic uranium mine today, as it is very high-grade, very low-cost, and is expected to produce millions of pounds of uranium in the next few years with material exploration potential."
The company said it was "quickly advancing" its longer-term "pipeline" projects like advancing permits on its Roca Honda project in New Mexico and EZ Complex in Arizona, to maintain and grow its domestic production profile and market share.
U.S.-listed shares of the company were last seen up US$0.37 at US$5.26 in pre-market trading.
