European markets opened in the green on Monday, October 16. The British FTSE was last trading 0.25 percent higher. French CAC was trading 0.09% in the green. The biggest European market by volume, German DAX was also trading marginally higher.

The European markets ended lower on Friday. CAC and DAX both ended over a percent in the red.
The Wall Street indices ended largely lower. Dow ended 0.12% higher, while S&P and Nasdaq ended 0.5% and 1.23% lower, respectively. The US 10-year yield rose to 4.65% ahead of Powell speech this week.
Earlier last week, US September inflation rate came at 0.4% sequentially, as compared to estimate of 0.4%. The US initial jobless claims for the week came at 2.09 lakh against 2.07 lakh in the previous week.
